So, after a couple weeks I finally have a grill that is complete. The store was able to order me a replacement lid. I did decide to use the grill with the hole in the lid a couple times and it worked really well, even with a hole in the lid.
But the new lid is on. I used it last night and it worked great to make steak and zucchini. I really like the large second rack for the zucchini.
So, now I have a new grill. So far it was worth the extra effort waiting for the lid. It was worth the discount in price for a grill that I think will last a long time (I hope so at least). It is larger than my old grill and so I will have no issues making food for larger groups if I ever need to. But of course that would involve having large groups over, and as I wrote earlier in the week that would involve having more friends.
