The trip was great overall. I had fun. The family had fun! It was a trip of a lifetime, and I am super blessed to have been able to do it with the people I love. Thank you, God! There were good days and bad days. There were fun times and times when we were all getting on each other’s nerves. I think 50 days “on the road” with the same 3 other people will do that to anyone. I love my family. God has blessed me with these amazing people to take these kinds of adventures with. I am looking forward to more of these adventures. These 7+ week trips are pricey, and we saved for a long time to do this trip. I would advise everyone to save their pennies where and when they can, budget in a BIG trip, and do it. We don’t do things like this very often, but any trip with my family is good times and creates great memories. “B” is going to remember all the different foods she got to have. “A” will always remember her time one-on-one with an otter. “G” is going to talk about the penguins in multiple forms she got to interact with. And me, well I will remember and cherish the time with my family. I love them so much, and that is what I enjoyed the most. I didn’t care about what I wanted to do as much as getting to be with my family and enjoy the time they were enjoying things. That is so important to me.
If you made it all the way through all my writings about this trip, thank you for taking your time to read it all. I hope you enjoyed a little look into my experiences on one of our big sabbatical trips. This was number 3 for “B” and I and number 2 with the four of us. It may be the last big 7-week version due to changes in schedules, but vacations will still occur and I hope to still be writing about them as they come along. And I hope you will still be reading when they come along as well.
Thank you!
