Like the authors Moral the Wombat has met some TV and movie celebrities of varying degrees over the years.
For the celebrities I started taking Moral to conventions I was going to, and I started asking celebrities if I could take a picture of them with my stuffed wombat. Some said no and that was perfectly fine. Others would eye me oddly and say yes and it was a simple picture. And then there have been others that have had fun with it.
This started shortly after my wife and I got Moral in Australia on our honeymoon. I decided to take Moral to a Star Trek / Sci-Fi Creation convention in LA and thought I would see what would happen. While I was there, I was getting autographs from some of the people there and on a whim I asked if they would let me take a picture of them with Moral, and here is what I got:
As you can see Armin had fun with it and John was a little unsure but was more than willing to oblige.
Then in 2014 he got to meet John Barrowman (Torchwood and Doctor Who)
Then in 2016 it was time to meet a bunch more and Phoenix Fan Fusion like:
Emma Caulfield (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) – She was a little unsure and then she asked me if would be in the picture with her and I said that was fine.
Eve Myles (Torchwood) – She only allowed me to picture while she signed an autograph ,but she did think it was a bit humerous.
Glenn Morshower (24 and other things as well) – has more than happy to do it.
James Marsters (Buffy, Angel and the audio reader for the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher). Another you can take the picture while I sign your autograph picture. But still fun.
Tony Todd (Candeyman, Star Trek and some many things). I like the up by the face look. We chatted a bit and he was very pleasant, and then he insisted that I get Kane Hodder to do it as well. So, Moral got to meet a professional wrestler as well.
Timothy Omundson (Galavant, Psych, and many many more things). He was a hoot to talk to, and he enjoyed trying to find the right pose for the picture.
Also, in 2016 Moral got to meet Lindsey Stirling at a book signing. I wasn’t sure where to put her, author or TV celebrity, but this was a fun time.
So there you have some of the celebrities Moral has meet. At least up through 2016. He has met more. As you can see it has become a big thing for me to bring him along to conventions and seeing if I can get pictures with Moral and the celebrities. Some have said no, and that is perfectly fine. I get it.
