A Good Gift

I wanted to write about something good today.

I get gifts from family like most of us do. I am not much of a gift person for the most part so a lot of the time gift “go in one ear and out the other”. They get left to the side and I rarely use them.

But I wanted to mention a gift I got from my in-laws a while ago that I find myself using quite often and I am quite thankful for it.

Here it is:

It is a Dewalt 20V drill and impact and a set of Kobalt bits and attachments for the drill. At first I was like, that is nice and I will use it once in a while, like I do with most gifts. But I was wrong. I find myself going to it I think at least once a week for something. It is a great little drill and impact that I can use all over the place.

When I need to do a quick fix on the garden beds I can get it out. I have drilled holes in kids projects. I have use it to make taking the pool filter apart faster (that was a nice one). I used it when I was working on my VW engine for something (I don’t even remember now).

It is a great gift. I use it all the time, and I am sure I will continue to use it for a long time.
