So, today was my first opportunity to get in a bike ride in over 3 weeks. Ever since the movers loaded our house I haven’t been able to bike since they were in the truck.
Today I dropped one daughter off at Space Camp and we went by bike since it was only .69 miles away, and then I headed out on an exercise ride for myself.
It was a good ride. I got to ride along the Boise River where they have a very nice path system setup. I wasn’t able to go as fast as I like due to the twist and turns, bumpiness in places, and other people, but it was since a nice ride. It was about the same elevation change that I was get in Chandler, and I found that interesting. I thought it was more since it was more undulating. I guess not.
It was cool out, somewhere in the 70’s, but it was more humid for sure. So, sweating still happened.
Here are my stats from the ride.
I chose not to ride too far today for a few reasons:
- Didn’t know where I was going exactly.
- I haven’t ridden in 3 weeks and didn’t want to over do it.
- If I got a flat I don’t carry fixing ability with me and didn’t want to get stuck too far away.
So, a good ride. I am looking forward to doing more this week, and then next week maybe find a new path near our house. This was still all near the hotel we are staying in while we get the house unpacked (at least somewhat).
