More parts! Well, new versions of some you have seen before and new ones too.
Fist you get the new focus rails:
They now have slightly rounded corners, and slots rather than holes. They printed really well. The gears look great, the surface looks good as well. I had one corner come up just a little on from the bed and so there is a slight defect there, but otherwise I like them. And I like the silver color as well.
Next you get the new version of the knob, shaft, gear:
And these worked great as well. There is now a built in 45-degree slope up to the gear and that allows the material to build support for itself. These turned out fantastic.
Onto two new parts – the swing base:
On the original DLC these two parts are just one single part. But due to the complex nature of that part we thought making it two parts that then are screwed together made a lot more sense. The larger black slides onto the focus rail pretty well also, so that is a good thing. I will need to get some screws to attach these two parts together, but overall they look good.
I also printed a new version of the bed:
Redesigned a bit. Space for the new gear and shaft. It wasn’t a perfect print the shaft fit pretty tight and the pla didn’t extrude correctly when it started and so the underside doesn’t look that good. After talking with my dad he just redesigned the bed again and I will reprint it sometime.
