Somehow I missed doing a music note for August. So, this month you get both August and September in one read. I have aligned them with the same topics on top of each other so it makes for easier comparison.

And you can really see that I am a creature of habit when it comes to my music listening.
Starting from the right (sorry) you see the bands, and you can clearly see that 9 of the 10 bands are identical between the two months and there are my 9 staple bands. I was surprised to see that Relient K and Switchfoot were both 1 and 2 both months. The only differences were Five For Fighting in August and The Beatles in September. Five for Fighting isn’t a surprise for August since I went and saw them live here in Boise in August so I was listening to them a little more leading up to the concert and then afterwards as well.
As for albums you get to see the same bands a bunch. Anberlin’s compilation album of their first three albums of course come up because there are a lot of songs on that “one” album. Seeing Vice Verses by Switchfoot in both months isn’t a surprise either because I love that album and listen to those songs a lot. Having one of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine soundtracks come up is a nice sight. I love that show, and the music was pretty good.
As for songs I am fully convinced that for the most part it doesn’t mean much. Having 2 listens I am sure goes on for a long time but then the program just randomly selects some to put toward the top. It is true that in August I had a 4 play of Between the Pavement and the Stars by Five Iron Frenzy. That is a great song that was on a small EP they put out. I think it could have been a pretty big hit for them if it would have been on one of their full length albums.
