Somehow I forgot to post this earlier this month (probably due to the whole vacation and moving thing).
So here we have June’s Top Listens. I was a little surprised that MXPx was the top artist since I knew I have listened to a lot of Queen and Lindsey Stirling last month. While they were on the list they were 5th and 2nd respectively.
For those of you that have read these postings you can see that I have regulars for sure. You always see Switchfoot, Five Iron Frenzy, Relient K and MxPx. They are for sure the ones I listen to the most. I recently got new Queen and Lindsey Stirling albums so that explains why they are on the lists this time. I must say that “Play the Game” by Queen isn’t my favorite on the album, but I just have listened to ot one more time than they other songs on the album so it made it on the list for the month.
Again I am surprised that FIF is on the song list twice but on came in at #7 on the artist list. I always feel like I listen to FIF a lot during the month, but apparently not in June. Then again, I have started using a second audio program as well to listen to music and so maybe there is where I am getting more of the FIF music from. Hmmm
Anyways, Weird Al made it to #9 on both lists this month. I really enjoy his stuff, and “The Saga Begins” is certainly a good song for the list. It isn’t my favorite song, but still a good one. His work taking “American Pie” by Don McLean and making it Star Wars related was well done. And the music video for it is a classic. In fact here is a link to it:
