Hey people – go and vote (assuming you are legally allowed to). It is something we get to do here in the United States of America. It is generally safe, and it is generally corruption free*.
I don’t care who you vote for as long as you are doing some research on your voting. Don’t just vote for the person that your parents are voting for (or would have voted for). Don’t just vote based on a political side. Don’t just vote for the person with the best commercial, or youtube ad, or mailer, or sign on the side of the road.
I want you to vote for the person(s) that you agree with. Do your research and see who comes closest to what you believe in, and what you hope for your city, county, state and country. There are many websites out there that can help you with that depending on where you live in the country.
I used to be a blanket voter, in that I only voted for those people that were on my political side of the fence. I did little to no research and so that was that. I voted, but really, I was just checking boxes (or filling in lines as we do here in AZ). Then I started realizing that I don’t always agree with what some of those people “in my political party” stood for.
This really started to hit me hard with the Trump/Clinton presidential race. That race made me take a step back and look at what in the world was going on with people. There was no way Trump was going to be a good president. He is an awful person. I knew there was no chance I could vote for him, and Clinton certainly didn’t seem any better. So, I had to take a step back and look at other candidates too. At that time, I was able to mostly vote Republican still, but I didn’t vote for Trump. I also didn’t vote for Clinton. I wrote myself in. I realize that I basically threw away my vote, but my conscience wouldn’t allow me to vote for either of them. I didn’t feel that through prayer God was telling me to vote for either of them.
Since then, I have done more research. There are many places you can find out information about candidates and you should find your local resources and use them (sorry to say that again, but it is important).
Then at the next presidential election I knew I still couldn’t vote for Trump. The country wasn’t in ruins, but it wasn’t in a great place either. So, I voted for Biden. I didn’t want to take any chances of Trump getting another 4 years in office. Now looking at that, I think that was a mistake as well. I should have done more research into Biden. He has been a bad president as well. He hasn’t made the rest of the world too mad at us, but he also hasn’t lead up that well. The economy sucks right now, and the president has some to do with that, but not all. He continues to say things that make no sense and just show how very old he is, and it really makes me wonder about his mental faculties. So, who really is making the big decisions? Would I vote for him again, no. And I don’t have to, but I am also not voting for Harris. She isn’t a good choice in my personal opinion either. So, another presidential election and I am not voting for a president. This really sucks!
But I am not sure what that means for the future of our country. I have found that I am definitely a center/right person, but there aren’t that many candidates anymore that fall into that category. We need new leaders is what I think we need. So, people get out there and cote based on your beliefs and how the candidates align with those beliefs. I have my beliefs and you have yours and they may be the same and they may be different, and again that is fine.
* Yes, I know that there has been some funky stuff that has seemed to have happened in the past in different parts of the country, but most of those have proved to be unfounded.
Hi Bro,
Also finding this election year difficult to think about. Also feeling center/right with no one to vote for. Also feeling numb about the polarization of politics and society.
I voted for this party in the last election and I think I’m going with them again as a write-in. Even if it doesn’t count. Not perfect, but seem to be as center/right as I can find.
Not trying to sway any opinions, just share info that you might not have had before:

Good luck,
Your Bro
interesting find there. I just want someone worth voting for again.
