We are in the midst of the Christmas season, and as you all know I love music. I enjoy Christmas music. I am not as big of a fan as some people are of it, but I still enjoy it. I also find that I don’t enjoy listening to it outside the Christmas season (except my favorite song). I know some people that like listening to it year round. That is great for them, but not for me.
I thought I would give you a list of some of my favorite Christmas songs, and if I have a favorite version then I will list the artist as well.
So, in no particular order (except the first one) here are some of my favorites:
- I Celebrate the Day – Relient K (This is hands down my favorite Christmas song. It sounds great, it tells the Jesus message so well.)
- Silent Night
- Carol of the Bells – many versions, but the Lindsey Stirling version is pretty good.
- Evergreen – Switchfoot
- O Holy Night
- Peace Child (O Come Emmanuel) – The Normals
- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
- Twelve Days of Christmas – Bob and Doug McKenzie (For a Laugh)
- Santa Claus and His Old Lady – Cheech and Chong (For another laugh)
So what are some of your favorite ones? Are there ones I left off this list that you think are must? Are there ones that may not be that common that I should look into?
